How to fix the SMBv2 scanning issues caused by Windows 7 updates

There was a Windows update recently causing issues with SMB scanning to folders with end-users using Windows 7, the following is a quick way to fix.

-Open Windows Control Panel and navigate to Program and Features>Installed Updates page which lists all recently installed updates on the system.
-You can browse the listing manually and find the update KB.
-Once located, right-click it and select uninstall from the context menu.
-Windows will uninstall the update.
-Reboot PC and you’ll be able to access the network once again.

You can also block this update from being downloaded and installed automatically again.
To do this, open Windows Update in Control Panel, locate the update and right-click to hide it.

-Look under (Microsoft Windows) header for: KB4480970
-Right click on it and uninstall update. Reboot when prompted.
-AFTER REBOOT
-Control Panel
-Change Settings
-Under IMPORTANT UPDATES
-Select
-DOWNLOAD UPDATES BUT LET ME CHOOSE WEATHER TO INSTALL THEM
-Select (OK) in bottom right hand corner)
-Select Check for Updates on right side
-Once updates have been downloaded
-Select the updates.
-Right click on the KB4480970 update and (HIDE)
-Select (OK)
-Once hidden go back to
-Change Settings
-Under IMPORTANT UPDATES
-Select
-INSTALL UPDATES AUTOMATICALLY (RECOMMENDED)
-Select (OK) in bottom right hand corner)
-YOU ARE FINISHED
