Century Holds Sales Contest: Did Your Rep Win? 

Century & Catalyst recently invited our Solutions Analysts from every office to the Sioux Falls location for a two-day training and development experience. 

For training, our Analysts competed against each other to see who knows the products and services we provide the best. Can you guess who won?

The Training 

The first day was packed with valuable presentations from industry leaders and internal experts, including: 

  • Roger Rinkenbaugh – Kyocera Sales Director 
  • Ryan Majors – Kyocera Area Sales Manager 
  • Chuck Gonzalez – Kyocera Senior Manager 
  • Craig Doeden – Solutions Director 
  • Kevin Jergenson –  CSO / Owner 
  • Adam Smith – Sales Operations Manager 
  • Kyle Ruhland – VP of Sales & Marketing 

Our Analysts learned about ongoing changes in the print and IT landscape—critical knowledge for staying ahead in our fast-moving industry. 


The Contest 

The Sales Contest began on the second day. 

  • Round 1: A 92-question timed test challenged each Analyst’s knowledge of our products and services. 
  • Round 2: Analysts participated in mock client meetings with Century managers, practicing their one-on-one communication and consultative selling skills. 
  • Round 3: With two Kyocera devices in front of them, Analysts were tasked with performing and explaining various functions as if guiding a client through the process. 

Managers involved in the roleplaying and product demonstration rounds included: 
Kevin Jergenson, Adam Smith, Kyle Ruhland, Roger Rinkenbaugh, Ryan Majors, Mike Satter, Steve Cogdill, and Craig Doeden. 


The Results 

After all the scores were tallied, we’re proud to announce the top performers: 
 
Third Place: Mike Wiese (Aberdeen)  

Second Place: Scott Louis (Pierre) 

First Place: Tyler Stenberg (Sioux Falls) 

Congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to all our Analysts for their dedication, energy, and commitment to excellence. Events like these not only sharpen our skills but strengthen our team. We’re excited to carry this momentum and finish 2025 strong!
